Rushi & Varun climbed Pikes Peak in 2009 over the July 4th weekend. Pikes Peak, the famous Colorado mountain, stands at an elevation of 14,114 ft(4,302 m). We got caught in the middle of a thunderstorm when descending from the peak, but it seems lightning isn’t a huge issue here, as you can clearly see from the sign above… Running down a mountain with lightning strikes touching off a few hundred feet around us was an experience we will never forget.
