In September of 2014, Varun flew to Japan to climb Mt Fuji, Japan’s tallest mountain at 12,388 ft (3776 m) via the Gotemba Route starting at an elevation of 4593 ft (1400 m) over a 10 km long trail for an elevation gain of 2376 m or 7795 ft. What follows is a day-by-day trip report of this(short!) trip.
