With my flight at 5 PM, I had a half-day to explore Tokyo. Having visited Japan 4 months ago, I decided to hit up my favorite spot in Tokyo – Akihabara(Autumn Leaf Field). This is Tokyo’s hub & World HQ for all things Anime, Manga(comics), and Gaming. Returning here was like visiting an old friend, and the pace of change of this place always amazes me. Entirely new skyscrapers were up, shops were out of business, & even more shops had opened.
After checking out of the hotel at 8:30 I explored Akiba for a few hours before having lunch at CoCo’s curry house there. As usual it was delicious, & a fitting end to this blitz of an intercontinental trip. Riding the train to Narita Intl airport, I managed to make it back home in one piece! (Yeah, I want to know the story behind these cross-dressing guys too…)
