Aconcagua

Aconcagua(The Stone Sentinel) has many titles – Tallest mountain in the South American continent, tallest in the Southern Hemisphere, tallest in the Western Hemisphere, and tallest mountain in the world outside of the Himalayas at 22,838 ft (6,961 m). For me, this was the longest I’d spent outdoors and the hardest mountain I have climbed to date. Known for its high winds, cold weather and back-to-back days of carrying loads, this mountain is a real challenge!

I traveled to Argentina to climb this Mountain in February of 2017 with the International Mountain Guides, and an awesome team! What follows is a day-by-day account of this trip.
