Antarctica, sometimes referred to as the bottom of the world. It is the most remote, untouched continent on Earth, and is one that conjures up images of adventure and exploration.
In December of 2018 I joined Climbing the Seven Summits(CTSS), founded and led by Mike Hamill, to climb the Vinson Massif – the tallest peak on the Antarctic continent. What follows is a chronological account of that trip. In an effort to make the blog easier to read, I’ve grouped each part of the trip into a single blog page – vs the day-by-day I’ve done historically.
Photo and album links open in new tabs, and each page has a link to the next part of the trip.
